Administrator Console

The Administrator Console consolidates all of tasks important for systems administrators in one convenient location. We built the Administrator Console using input from extensive focus group testing on administrative workflow. Drag-and-drop customization, meaningful task organization and batch operations, and ready access to data simplify and streamline day-to-day administrative tasks. Enhanced deployment and configuration options and settings give administrators the ability to customize their configuration around the institution’s specific needs. 

Personalization and Customization

ANGEL allows administrators to configure their own personal Administrator Console by simply dragging their most frequently used tasks to the home page, and hiding tasks they don’t use often.  The result is an easy to use and completely personalized interface where administrators can do their work.

Meaningful Task Organization

ANGEL’s Administrator Console is designed around effective and meaningful organization of tasks. The organization is reflective of a typical administrator’s workflow and tools are arranged by logical function. A tabbed approach separates the more system and technical areas from the functional areas, eliminating scrolling and making it easy to find desired operations.

ANGEL’s signature ease of use is applied to the Administrator Console. The interface is tooled for batch workflow operation and the clicks-to-complete common functions are minimized.

Ready Access to Data

Important administrative data is presented in a format that is easy to consume and act upon. While the Administrator Console provides ready access to a wealth of data, it does not overwhelm administrators with long forms or a complicated interface.If an administrator needs to manage one particular user, whether it be updating information or setting permissions for various tools, the administrator only has to go to one place to do it.

The Administrator console also provides ANGEL’s signature At-a-Glance reporting of system activity. While these optional At-a-Glance reports provide a wealth of data, the queries are optimized to return a small amount of data, thus minimizing their effect on performance.

Enterprise Domain Management

For large institutions or consortiums, administrators can easily configure multiple domains for branding or for partitioning the system. The Administrator Console’s tabbed interface includes all settings necessary to configure and control a domain. Administrators can create new domains from existing settings, making deployment of large scale installations much easier. Branded sites using domains within ANGEL can also be configured with different security, display, and communication settings, allowing each site to operate largely on its own, but without requiring separate hardware and overhead.
