Instructor Tools

Instructors can use the combination of ANGEL ePortfolio and the ANGEL LMS to assign work and collect evidence of learning outcomes and student performance. Whether the need is to provide evidence for an individual class, a department, or the institution at large, the two products can be used in tandem to meet assessment requirements.

Assign Work from the ANGEL LMS

Using the ANGEL ePortfolio drop box in the ANGEL LMS, instructors can assign, and students can attach, ANGEL ePortfolio publications from within the ANGEL LMS. By using the ANGEL ePortfolio drop box, instructors can incorporate portfolio activities into course curricula, and in turn, drive course and program assessment initiatives through ANGEL ePortfolio.

If desired, instructors can require students to use a specific ANGEL ePortfolio publication template, or require students to complete an ANGEL ePortfolio achievement exercise created separately. Publication templates can either be those that come with ANGEL ePortfolio, or they can be custom publication templates created by the instructor.

Set Achievement Exercise Due Dates

When an ANGEL ePortfolio achievement exercise is assigned, instructors can use the “due date” option to prevent students from modifying an achievement exercise or its attached artifacts beyond a specified date. When a due date has passed, the artifacts the student associates to the achievement exercise become locked, preventing students from modifying or deleting them. This helps maintain the integrity of student-supplied data for any reporting or evaluation activities.

Evaluate Student Portfolio Publications or Achievement Exercises

Instructors can evaluate student work using all of the ANGEL LMS’ native capabilities. This allows instructors to provide feedback on portfolio items.
