Clark State Community College's Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Associate Degree Program uses ANGEL to create a synergistic digital learning environment where students are able to select learning content in a format compatible with their individual learning styles. Beyond the tools of the traditional classroom, MLT uses ANGEL to provide content in MP3 format, allowing students to access lecture and lab materials at all hours, any place. Just-in-time targeted streaming video feedback addresses results of pretests and email questions. Effective use of discussion forums and group case study activities create learner-to-learner collaboration within classes. A dedicated forum that enrolls all MLT students allows students to share experiences and has become a place where students learn from one another. Since implementing ANGEL to provide this learner-centric model, the student pass rate on the MLT National Certification Examination has increased to 80%.
